ABOUT THE CLASSES:

gizeh // florwerk

This is a dynamic florwerk technique workshop that focuses on feeling and embodying movement, which allows us to not only train the body for performative purposes, but for building neural pathways that can help us expand our awareness of space, time, and connection. Through breath, warmth, stillness and movement, this workshop explores a rigorous and buoyant physicality that embraces pleasure and tenderness through phrases, somatic practices and improvisation.

This class is influenced by gizeh’s close work with infants.

Sara // Practice as performance
Improvisational frames/compositional curiosity

This practice will focus on landscape/rhythm/location/timing/relationships/love. We will dance it, draw it, write it.

Touch
Go inside the body and follow its path. Work it out through taste, feel, smell, images, voice, and colors.

The Lean, the Balance, the Recovery
We use the skill of looking inside the architecture and emotion of a person to write a scenario, creating a history, a grand stand, and a meaning.

Removal of Thought Forms
Formally dredge thought forms, working with breath and intent.

Chi and More Chi
Using various healing modalities, we ask
Who are you?
